Dr. REVOLT
Originally from New York, Dr. Revolt got his start in graffiti in the early 1970s and became a founding member of the Rolling Thunder Writers, one of the subway system’s historic crews. Self-taught, he developed a figurative style shaped by comic books and psychedelic aesthetics.
His work contributed to the films Wild Style and Style Wars, landmark documents of hip-hop culture, as well as the logo for Yo! MTV Raps.
