Benny the Kid started out in graffiti before moving into graphic design, then gave up pure graffiti in 2009 to focus on stencil work. He first worked with spray cans and Posca markers before refining the cut-paper technique that became his signature.

His canvases borrow from cartoons and pop culture to slip in, beneath an apparent lightness, a humorous and sometimes provocative look at the present day.
